Westwood is best known for being the home of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and is located in the northern central section of Los Angeles’ Westside. This area is bordered on the west by Brentwood, on the north by Bel-Air, to the east by Beverly Hills and Century City, West Los Angeles to the southwest,  and Rancho Park on the southeast. Westwood Village is at the heart of the district and still retains some of it’s original historic-cultural building landmarks and theaters. The neighborhood of Westwood has many prime examples of Spanish Style homes that lie on gentle rolling hills and sweeping curved tree lined streets. The Wilshire Corridor, a winding two-mile stretch of Wilshire Boulevard, passes through the eastern section of Westwood with its ulta-luxury residential high-rises buildings which are famous for their city, mountain and ocean views. This section is often referred as “The Golden Mile”.
